Well, they may not be musty, maybe I need more old books for that effect, but I finally have my bookshelves organized. Can’t say the same for many other new house projects we still have to do; subsequently cutting into social media time … reading time … oh yes, writing time too but they are projects that are enjoyable in their own way. At least, when the day’s work is done and sunset overtakes the bookshelves, I can enjoy their sweet silence now.

In my case this morning, there was the first tasting of the coffee so there would not be too much of a delayed reaction for the writing. Not sure if that second tasting, the writing life, is kicking in yet though.

The Girl In The Spider’s Web

It’s obviously been awhile since I posted a book. I couldn’t get ‘The Girl In The Spider’s Web’ through this web and back to my bookshelves. That’s okay since this is the digital version. The good news is that Lisbeth is essentially still Lisbeth under David Langercranz. I, however, could see some differences but the writing style certainly is consistent with Stieg Larsson’s.

Shakespeare and Company book bag, books and coffee for some relaxing reading. Well, if I can’t visit Shakespeare and Company in Paris, then at least I can create a Shakespeare and Company reading atmosphere with their book bag. I have a book bag filled with books, a stack of books for my coffee and a book to read, thus, life is good.

The Guest Cat

So, we don’t have a real cat but considering my wife’s current read and the other cats around, I think they might be ganging up on me. The Guest Cat by Takashi Hiraide is a book we first heard of while in France. I understand it is a bestseller there but I hadn’t heard too much about it here. My wife, however, decided to give it a read or maybe just put the hint out there. Hmm.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

 

Yeah, my writing has gone like that over the last couple days as well, so I decided to read a bit more. After “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and the rest of the Millennium trilogy, I’ve decided to give “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” a try. Time to see if Lisbeth Salander is still Lisbeth Salander in David Lagercrantz’s ‘The Girl’ world. First though, I’ll reflect with the beginning of the series (only one I have in a print edition) and a cup of coffee.
